Subject: An Important Update on the Virtues Cards App

Dear Esteemed Virtues Project Facilitators,

We hope this message finds you well. Today, we reach out with an update and a call for your understanding regarding some technological hurdles we've encountered with the Virtues Cards app.

We have identified a challenge that currently, the app is incompatible with the Android 14 devices, demanding an upgrade to a newer version of React Native - the developmental framework that powers our app. While our friends using Apple devices won’t encounter these issues at present, future updates are contingent upon this necessary transition to the newer software.

Moreover, we've noticed the unavailability of certain capabilities, such as sharing cards, which we understand might have hindered your usual operations. We extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you in your invaluable work.

Historically, the app has been self-funded, and while we are passionately committed to its enhancement and evolution, our current financial position presents some limitations. Consequently, we are exploring various creative funding avenues and warmly welcome any support through connections to grantors or donations as we navigate this phase. We are hopeful that we can identify these funding sources to continue.

Our vision remains undeterred: to remediate current functionality issues and progressively develop the app into a more user-friendly, versatile, and globally accessible tool. We aspire to simplify user interfaces, introduce a gifting feature, and incorporate multi-lingual card decks and enlightening educational tutorials, among other enhancements.

Your patience, comprehension, and unwavering support throughout this period are immensely appreciated. Our dedication to delivering a stellar app that supports all our significant work and propels The Virtues Project to global recognition remains steadfast.
